Known for challenging the conventions of 1920s fashion, Gabrielle Chanel produced designs that celebrated self-expression and elegance. She often borrowed items of clothing from the closet of her lover, the Duke of Westminster, and drew inspiration for her own creations. This journey of Chanel’s beginnings and evolution serves as the muse for Virginie Viard’s latest collection for Chanel.

This collection seamlessly combines styles from the 1920s and 70s and honors Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic influence. Oversized pea coats and belted robes fall elegantly over tweed suits, combined with boxy midi skirts, culottes or cropped pants. Silk blouses with middy collars, houndstooth patterns and low-cut tops with ruffles complete the ensemble. The palette includes vibrant pastel colors such as pink, mauve, orange and light blue, offset by accents of brown and shimmering gold lamé. Each piece embodies Chanel’s timeless elegance with modern knitwear and airy chiffon prints. Sensual, lingerie-inspired pieces in black and white lend the collection a seductive touch, while ombré dresses bring lightness.
